At some positions there is nothing to do but stand still and wait for someone to come along hopefully. My feet were gonna fall off from standing in one small area the whole time and at Cherokee the employees are permitted to sit, not at valley river they don't care about your health or comfort. Days felt 16 hours long in my 8 hour shifts. Not to mention the most boring job I have ever encountered. And when you want out of the delicious sounding honey hole they will again not give you the money you worked for, for weeks after you have quit as punishment. So if you plan on getting cancer soon this is the job for you. Sure the benefits are great but that is the only reason people stay.
Some management is horrible like every place but some downright don't care about employees at all. They love slip ups like small things walking past a penny on the ground will get you a write up yes literally if you don't pick it up no matter what side it's on your getting in trouble. There are only like 500 cameras that are there to mainly watch the employees. If you love being micro managed at every bat of an eye then look no further than harrahs valley river.
